Live a day immersed in the history of Murano glass, discovering the true roots of glassmaking and the millenary wisdom of its masters.
The initiative is aimed at companies and individuals and offers the possibility, upon reservation, of a guided tour of the Abate Zanetti Glass School, with an introduction to the history of glass and the millenary tradition of the island of Murano.
Visitors will then be able to attend demonstrations of traditional glass processing techniques.
Following is a visit to the Murano Glass Museum and an educational workshop during which an artifact will be made in glass.

11.00 – 12.00: demonstration of luminous processing
12.00 – 13.00: demonstration of the processing of blown and solid glass in a furnace conducted by an expert master glassmaker
13.15 – 14.15: optional lunch break
14.30 – 15.15: guided tour of the Glass Museum
15.45 – 17.15: educational glass fusion workshop during which a simple glass artefact will be made

Screening of the film "Murano between water and fire", which illustrates an in-depth historical journey, glass techniques from the origins to the present day.

The School of Glass Abate Zanetti realizes and promotes training activities and courses on the techniques and methods of traditional and contemporary artistic glass processing. He collaborates with Italian and foreign universities, institutes of high culture and related bodies in the territory.
The demonstration of glass working in the furnace will focus on the physical-chemical characteristics of glass-matter, on the reactions of matter at different temperatures and the breath, as well as on the more technical aspects of glass "choreography", necessary to give beauty and resistance to objects .
